Today was a better day than yesterday, but still not the day I was hoping for last night. Most of that has to do with the fact that I woke up with insane amounts of pin rushing through my lower back today, and spent most of the day barely hobbling around.
That being said, I made it into the studio for a little bit tonight. I played through some of the examples in the GT lessons, and then at least started to take it a little bit further. I started looking at solos, and how they fit in the context of the scales themselves. I didn't finish working all the way through a solo, but I started the process. Tomorrow night, I need to take it another step farther, and lay out the different measures of the solo next to the specific patterns they correspond with.
Also, I did a bit of reading in the Jerry Lee Lewis biography, and got most of the CDs from the car at least back in the right cases, if not moved all the way back inside yet. That can be tomorrow's project when I get home from work.
Considering the pain I was in, and the amount of work we got done around the house, I'd say that today was fairly productive.
