Started listening to bits and pieces of that Kacey Musgraves album today. Didn't have as much time as I had hoped to, as practically every time I tried to find a few spare minutes here and there, something else cropped up, but still. I like what I hear thus far, and I've got tomorrow afternoon to get deeper into some listening.
Got a cool email from Acoustic Guitar today about using familiar songs as templates for writing. It preaches changing keys as a way to changing rhythm and feel. So now I'm trying to make a list in my head of favorite songs that might be fun to key switch. "Mr. Jones" definitely comes to mind.
Also, high on tomorrow's list of things to do is to sit down and play some guitar. Maybe try and finish off the chord progression for the month. Haven't played in what feels like forever.
That's really all I've got tonight. There will be better stuff tomorrow, though, I promise.
