Today was a quiet day, playing-wise.
I did pick up the guitar for about 15 minutes tonight after the end of a long day, and ran some scales, however, if only to keep my fingers loose. It counts as an entry in the practice journal, though.
The practice journal and the binder I started last year are quickly weaving their way together. Even though there wasn't a ton of actual instrument time today, I'm excited to see some things falling into place, and definitely am excited for the rest of the week, when more time to play should be at my disposal.
The coolest thing I did tonight music-wise, however, was to sit down and watch David Ford perform live at Sun Studios. It was a very stripped down set that also found a way to include one of the fun toys I've had my eye on for a long time now: a looping pedal.
The Mrs. has told me about David Ford before, in glowing terms, but this was my first real exposure to his music. I dig it. Will definitely have to hunt more of it down.
