Today was an all right day.
I got some time in the studio this afternoon, but I wasn't as focused as I would have liked to be, so instead of trying to get a whole lot done, I just enjoyed playing and doing a bit of listening.
When I got back to things tonight, it was with a bit more seriousness and focus. One of the cool things in the latest issue of Guitar Techniques is a lesson on the Derek & The Dominos version of "Key To The Highway." That's one of those that I have always wanted to sit down and learn, and I think this lesson, plus the other transcription I have of the tune, will be the thing that finally pushes me into that. In fact, the way I'm feeling right now is that an intense focus on the blues might be fun for a while. I might just have to look into that a little bit more tomorrow.
Today could probably have been a bit more productive, but there was good stuff in it, so I'll take that, and look forward to tomorrow.
