Bell Choir practice was good this morning. We've been working on a "challenge" piece since right around the beginning of the year, and it's finally starting to come together. On some level, that seems like a very long time. Then again, when you only get a half hour a week, and most weeks not everyone attends, I suppose we're doing pretty well for ourselves.
That doesn't have anything to do with guitar (I know), but served to start my day on a musical note... forgive the pun, it was unintended. Usually I can find some time before church to hide away and do some listening, but that didn't happen this morning.
Found a bit of time this afternoon to watch a couple of the concerts we have saved on DirecTV. One by Garbage, and a little bit of one by Alanis Morissette. Both were fun.
Tonight, then, I was reading through some interviews on the American Songwriter website, and stumbled upon one that Sara Bareilles had given last year. It came out around the time of her itunes only EP, Once Upon Another Time. Downloading that had slipped my mind until tonight.
All told, a day where a bunch of random musical activities added up to a day that felt whole on paper, but left something out in reality.
Oh well, another shot at it tomorrow.
