So, the boss decided he wanted to try and clean out the CD box of stuff that was way overdue to be gotten rid of today. This means that I ended up with the following in-store plays:
1) 8 Tracks - The Belle Brigade
2) A Winter Tale - Bobby Long
It's been a good month for free music in my corner of the world. And while it seems like the Belle Brigade record I snagged isn't the full album, I really enjoyed what I listened to on the way home, so I'll consider that a victory and maybe grab the other 3 tracks from itunes or something.
Did a little practicing tonight, too! Just enough to make me realize that all of the guitar playing I do when I sit down and try to write songs isn't nearly enough to help me improve my playing. I need to spend more time every day focused in and working on specific things, i.e. scales, acoustic stuff, fretboard memorization, a song from my list of electric stuff, etc.
That way, if I can set up a manageable schedule, where I focus on one thing/day or one thing/practice session, I can make all around improvement without burning myself out.
Need to be better. Will be better.
