It was a good day today.
I spent a bit of time working my way through a few lessons in the Blues Guitar Goldmine book, and also working on "Red House." Where the Hendrix is concerned, I'm finally confident that I figured out one of the licks that has been tripping me up. In reality, it was less about knowing where the notes fell and more about playing it enough times to commit it to memory.
I also picked up a few things today, among them were new issues of Guitar World and Guitar Techniques.
Also on that list was the new Kacey Musgraves album, and a new biography of George Harrison.
We're finally going to be back at our place full time tomorrow. While it has been good to be working on only a couple of things this week, and I feel like I've made decent progress, it will also be nice to settle back into the comfort of the studio.
