Today was a really great day.
I took my acoustic over to Ike's, got it re-strung (and polished up a bit), and did some looking around while I was there. Came home with a couple of song/theory books:
1) Hal Leonard's Rockabilly Guitar Method
2) The Guitarist's Guide To Scales Over Chords - Chad Johnson
The rockabilly stuff is just plain fun, and it's going to provide a great link to some of the blues stuff I've been working on, as well as the swing and rock stuff I've got lined up.
As for the scales over chords... I'm always curious to see how different people choose to present and explain things. What can I say, it looked informative, and sounded like fun.
The acoustic really sounds great right now. I always forget just how big of a difference a new set of strings makes.
As for tomorrow, I want to get to some of the theory stuff, play some electric, and get in a bit of listening.
