I used tonight as a night of review in the studio.
I've spent the last week starting in on an acoustic regimen that has already shown results, and so tonight, I went back through some of the lessons I've worked on in the last few days. I just wanted to iron out some of the little things that have cropped up needing a bit of touching up.
The best part about tonight's studio time was that I'm starting to notice my fingers getting stronger as they get used to the thicker neck and strings of the acoustic. Scales are getting easier and more fluid. Melody lines had a bit more bite to them tonight.
All told, I'm really happy with the progress I've made in the last week. I know I need to make an effort to spend a little bit more time in the studio than I have the last couple of days, but that should be easy to do with a little bit more focus. Being home this week, and having Wednesday afternoon off will no doubt help with that.
Tonight's post feels a bit on the short side, but it was a good day with some progress. Tomorrow will have bigger and better things in it, I am sure.
