So, between losing an hour of sleep and getting back on the late side from our trip to NW Iowa, I knew I wasn't going to have a whole lot of time in the studio tonight. Being aware of that going into it, I had the presence of mind to know a couple of things about how I wanted to proceed:
1. First off, I knew that I felt disconnected last week. Things didn't move the way I had hoped they would, and it felt like I had been away from the studio for a long time. In fact, things hardly moved at all last week, and I knew that, if nothing else, I needed to do something to try and get myself back on track.
2. That said, I spent my hard earned time in the studio tonight working up what I hoped to get done this week with my time in the studio. For once it doesn't feel like an overly aggressive list, although it does manage to cover a wide array of things. I'm really hoping that just having things blocked out a little bit will help me to focus and be more productive.
3. I managed to sneak in a few minutes of reading time to get a bit farther into the book on the history of the grunge movement.
