Today was a quiet day where the music is concerned.
I spent most of the free part of my evening sitting on the couch with the electric in my hands, working my way through a mixture of scales, notes, and riffs. It was nice to zone out at least a little bit and just play for a while.
Started in on the Ryan Adams version of 1989. It's fascinating to hear those songs in a completely different vein. I even went so far as to create a playlist with the Swift versions of the songs, followed by the Adams version. I made it about halfway through both albums. Just listening to the changes in the arrangements is a class in songwriting. Great stuff at the end of a really long day.
